Welcome to ACHE SouthEast Texas Chapter!

Announcement

December 17, 2007 -

2008 SouthEast Texas Chapter Membership

As many of you are aware there has been a recent change in the relationship of our chapter, ACHE – SouthEast Texas, with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) at the national level. This change may affect you if you are not a member of ACHE at this time.

Effective January 1, 2008, only ACHE affiliates (dues paying members) may be members of  ACHE – SouthEast Texas Chapter.  All ACHE affiliates will be members of the local chapter serving their community with no additional dues to pay. ACHE will transfer a portion of each affiliate’s annual ACHE dues to the chapter. This change was proposed by ACHE in recent months, and the Board of Directors of ACHE – SouthEast Texas Chapter has approved the change because they believe it will result in the delivery of greater value to our chapter members.

To continue as a member of the ACHE – SouthEast Texas Chapter, you must join ACHE. As an affiliate of the American College of Healthcare Executives, you will attain the tools, guidance and support you need to gain an edge in the healthcare field. ACHE membership will enhance your marketability, relationships, knowledge and leadership so you can excel in your chosen profession. In addition, as an ACHE affiliate you can become a Fellow and earn the distinction of board certification. The attached document describes how you can realize these benefits and more—locally and beyond—at the low initial ACHE annual dues rate of $150. (Click here for document)

If you do not want to join the ACHE national organization at this time but still want to attend our local chapter events, you can do so. There will be a fee charged for each event to cover meals and other program expenses. We will maintain a database of healthcare and non-healthcare executives who are not ACHE affiliates, but will be considered as “professional associates” and we will continue to send you information about our events. We welcome your participation.

Sincerely,
David J. Fine, FACHE
President, ACHE – SouthEast Texas Chapter
