The ACHE-SETC Congress Scholarship Committee received 5
applications: Amy Lawler - Texas A&M School of Public Health Congratulations to the award recipients for a job well done! Upon completion of their participation at the Congress the students will appear before the Chapter Board and provide feedback about their experience. Winners of ACHE - SETC Academic Scholarships Awards ($5000 scholarships in the names of honorees Dr. Jeptha W. Dalston, FACHE, Don Wagner, LFACHE, and Dan Wilford, LFACHE) will be announced at the February 11th Quarterly Educational Session. |

Hospital Association (AHA) President, Rich Umbdenstock spoke
before a record audience of close to 250 at the ACHE – SETC
3rd Quarter Educational Session held at The Houstonian
Hotel, Thursday, August 20th. The topic was “Congressional
Health Care Reform Proposals: The Legislative Process”. Mr.
Umbdenstock didn’t miss a beat as he reviewed current status
of the health care reform proposals in the legislation, the
challenges President Obama’s is faced with on the issues,
